Christmas again

Christmas
again. We celebrate. |
The whole
show makes me laugh! |
We sit
around, |
we eat
and drink |
and tear
a goose in half. |
We go to Mass
‘cause Christ was born two thousand years ago. |
Our
bellies belch, our bodies touch under the mistletoe. |
We sing
some hymns that smell of peace, |
of peace
on this, our earth… Somewhere - |
oh well,
it’s miles away – |
they shoot
for all they’re worth |
Christmas
again. A merry time! |
At least,
that’s what we say. Who cares if somewhere thousands die? |
it’s
miles and miles away. |
